What you'll do day-to-day - Work closely with quants, developers, and senior staff mentors to build tools for the analysis and trading of financial instruments.
- Design and deploy real-time, scalable applications for the firm's highly automated trading activities.
What we're looking for - An impressive record of academic achievement, including advanced coursework in fields such as math, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science, or other technical and quantitative programs.
- Keen attention to detail, creativity, and exceptional problem-solving and programming skills (which may include experience programming in languages such as Python, Java, or C/C++).
- An interest in producing clean and efficient code.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with others as well as work independently is a plus.
- An interest in learning about quantitative finance; no previous finance experience is necessary.
- Enrollment in a full-time degree program; students who apply to this internship are usually approaching their final year of full-time study.
- The position offers a monthly base salary of $25,000, overtime pay, a sign-on bonus of $25,000, travel coverage to and from the internship, and a choice of furnished summer housing or a $10,000 housing allowance.
